I decided to thrash my sei last nite to clean the insides out, but now I dont think it was a very good idea. Now there are a few problems with it:

1. Passenger side wheel squels like hell as if it is stuck on the drivers side also does occasionally

2. Seems to be a lag when i put my foot down as if its flooding and then clearingits quite bad putting foot down in second and third gear

3. Its ticking like hell like a clock, its annoying and doesnt really sound very good

Any help appreciated before I take it to the garage.

BTW the car does go 100mph and it doesnt shake:D:p

i got all the same probs as you haven't a clue what is wrong cant find what is causing the ticking keep lookin but with no sucess. the floodin feelin could be the lamba senser (Cant spell today suffering with a major hangover so brain not working) someone with more knowledge will prob be able to tell you in more detail james

Hesitating, check the map sensor pipe is ok - from the inlet manifold to just behind the ecu. Could be the lambda sensor too.

Squeaky brakes, check the pads aren't worn out or they may need a clean and a smear of copper slip on the backs.

Ticking - coming from where exactly?

Sorry for breif reply - have no time at the mo!

Pete - ticking seems to be coming from the engine, I know that doesn't help much, only seems to happen at about 3 rpms.

I've just had a full service on my car about 2000 miles ago, so I have not really checked my oil or things like that cause it has just been done.

Will check laters though and have a good feel under the bonnet make sure everything is correct and in its place.

Thanks for the help and maybe this will teach me never to speed again:D

Might be the wrong grade oil put in i.e. Too thin.
If its a faint ticking noise put your ear above your induction kit, Does the ticking get louder???
If so its the injector thats ticking this is normal and also annoying.

Think I solved 2 out of the 3 problems.

Induction kit was half off so maybe too much air getting in, lagging seems to have stopped now (fingers crossed)

Tapping/ticking noise has stopped maybe this has something to do with the induction kit half off, thus allowing me to hear the noise that CENTOEVO has suggested.

Just got the problem with the brakes to deal with now, will be checking later on today or tommorow, I have been having a few problems with my brakes at the moment the pedal always seems different, I hope it has got nothing to do with the master cylinder cause this went on my UNO and was an expensive job[xx(].

Also just noticed my brake calipers are painted yellow, and part of the paint is flaking off can this have anything to do with it[?]

Cheers

Gaz,
Paint shouldn't affect it.
Centos (if well serviced) can survive a damn good thrashing at frequent intervals. Just follow the basic rules - right oil changed at the right time, cam belt done regularly (36k is a good idea) and DON'T THRASH IT BEFORE IT'S WARMED UP! - even the handbook says this!

Glad the probs were nothing serious.
