Hi All,

Basically, im looking for some uplifting type music similar to trance etc. to listen to while driving. Music that makes you want to drive fast, not that I will though.

Similar to music like

deadmau5 - strobe,
tiesto - adagio for strings,
aviici - levels

Things like that, any ideas anyone?

Sam

Just because i own a car like this does not make me a chav:

Some of it is okay, but just cant really listen to it.

Though I do appreciate it is 'real' music and takes proper musical skill as oppose to composing a piece on the computer...

Anyway ;)

Forgive me for being out of touch here, but isn't trance (going purely off the name of the genre) relaxing and actually more likely to send you to sleep which is hardly conducive to driving. Or is it?

But then what do I know? I still think Sunday shop opening will never catch on

I've only heard or Tracy Chapman and Queen. Have the others been in the hit parade? :D

I find trippy hypnotic music can sort of semi-hypnotise me and dull concentration.

Everyone I've ever seen with THUD-THUD-THUD bass playing drives like a cretin, but I don't know which is the symptom and which is the cause.

I've taken to Radio 4 in the last few years! Seriously, try it on a long journey - it doesn't distract but the time flies (depending what's on).

I am 51 years old. I have heard trance music, and it is the kind of stuff that can give you migraines.

When I hear the music people listen to now, it makes me weep for the past :D

Also, the Tracy Chapman-Fast car was meant to be a joke. Anyone get it? :D

in the OP i said things like trance and gave some examples to the things i like so not neccesarily just trance, but yes haha, trance can be extremely relaxing, some can be uplifting and make you wanna drive like a man on drugs.

thanks stu for those suggestions, gonna have a listen now.

@rightguard, was watching top of the pops 1976 other day, weird how everything has changed (im 19 btw but just saying lol)

And when you say 'the music people listen to now', well different people listen to a lot of different music ;)
