My 500 is due in the country tomorrow YAY! and I've been told I'll qualify for the free servicing offer. I've has a look at the offer and it seems to cover 9,000 mile intervals. I've calculated that I'm likely to do 12,000 a year so is it worth taking them up on the offer? I know it's free but I don't want it to be more trouble than it's worth if I do over 9,000

From the looks of the free plan you get 3yrs or 27K miles services free. If you do less than 18K a year youll get 3yrs free serviceing up to a max of 27K miles.

Bit of a confusing way of giving an free offer though, i guess they didnt want to cover 3yrs at 18K a year ie 54K . If you do 18K a year you'll might only get 1 free service from the looks of it

I wouldn't mind but like the good girl I am I'd already bloody well read them, the dealer has also read them out loud to me over the phone but nobody at fiat has been able to give me an answer. Thankyou lovely Fiat Forum you are a god send!

How?

Mean you get 2 services free in first year, and one in second when car this 27k surly

It's 3 free services by the looks of it. Wether thats all in first year, or one a year over 3 years is irrelivent surly?

The way I interpreted it (rightly or wrongly) was as follows

If you do 18K in one year then you do an 18K service at year 1. You then only have 9K left from the 27K free entitlement but the car wont be due a service untill 36K. So if you do 18K a year you will only get 1 free service and you will be paying towards the second at 36K as its outside the 27K max.

If you do =<9k a year then you will get 3 years free servicing. Anything >9K a year makes it all totally confusing - AGAIN

I think the conclusion is ... its worth it as its free! and at the very least you will get 1 service from it
:)

I would think looking at those conditions they will mostly be doing the three services. I would have thought a few proportion of people buying 500's would be doing 9k or less a year. A free service is a good service in my book though :)

Certanly its free, so its not to be sniffed at. The web site does say that its aimed at people who do low mileage. This would have suited me to the ground as im doing only 3K a year.

"FEEL3 Low mileage service plan
Once you're the happy owner of a Fiat, you'll want to look after it. The FEEL3 service plan is designed for low mileage customers, providing you with peace of mind knowing that your car is checked annually by Fiat trained technicians.
FEEL3 is available for free for Punto Evo or Fiat 500 customers.
Until 31 March 2010"

Will be coming up to second birthday at the end of May and am currently on 12000 odd miles so this would have been a bonus for people in my position.

However, I think that, due to the qualifying terms, very few people will actually have the opportunity to avail themselves of the offer.
