Okay so after establishing the cause for my car stopping I have one last problem, When I drive there is a clicking noise that will vary depending on the gear, speed of the car but will stop with the clutch being pressed down, This noise produces a vibration through the gearstick, what is the problem here and how do I fix it?

is the clicking in time with the speed?

The faster you go the faster it clicks?

Has the car had any work done recently?

Ziggy

Yeah that's exactly what it's like, clicks faster the quicker I go, this car hasn't had any work done recently

its weird you feeling it through the gearstick - as that may point to a POSSIBLE broken tooth or something like that in the gearbox

Do you have gearbox fluid in? it hasn't leaked out on you?
The fill hole is meant to dribble - and i mean dribble = Full
No dribble = Needs topup

Are you able to get a recording of whats occouring?
