General fed up already

this is my 2nd day with the GPS and its already annoyed me the wheel alignment is out so turn a bit right and your going straight the panel under the windscreen has lifted the gearbox is making a funny noise at stand still when clutch is out (they fitted new gearbox about 3/4 days ago im not happy i love the car but the dealer has knackered it for me

I kno what u mean about the steering alignment. Garage I had mine in for a new steering rack put my wheel back on to the left a bit band doin the miles i do I couldn't put up with it. Took them 3 attempts to sort (like most things really) and the cheeky sod had the nerve to say over the phone "We think your being a bit picky about it"

Wait till you have owned one for 2 years like me, you just wont care anymore lol mine has just come back from having new diff seals and the doors 'adjusted' yet again. They still creak.....I also need 2 new shocks they cant yet get and wont do anything until they have the 'revised' ones. Combined with wheel allignment that noone can get right, savage tyre wear and worn out suspension after 37k miles you have a car that just loves to be left outside in the cold at the dealers.

Odd about the tyre wear. I got nearly 50,000 miles out of a set of Conti's recently. New on the rear at the 18,000 mile service, swapped to the front at the 36,000 mile service and finally binned at 67,000 miles when they hit the wear bar. Mind you, I also made the original front pads and discs last until the 72,000 mile service. Even the service guys were impressed!

if only they could sort out these probs it would be a great car i still love the car for some strange reason but i blame it on the dealer because its a new gear box but they have done something wrong for it to be making a noise

mines on its 3rd set of front tyres at 37k miles, it gets driven hard occasionally but mostly just potters about or cruises on the motorway, it doesnt have a hard life, if I had treated it like I treated my 03 Megane it would have been destroyed several times over. I think its just a crap set up on mine thats spoils the drive and wrecks tyres (it feels like the dampers are basically dead), combined with useless dealers and a car of only average quality it has just annoyed me too much for me to really love it anymore, ah well live and learn.

Take it back and get them to adjust the allignment, get them to replace the strip on the dash and turn your music up so you cant hear the gearbox

the doors 'adjusted' yet again. They still creak......

open the doors and spray the catch mechanisms with WD40 or the like that stops it ( if you mean creak as in over bumps they creak )

And wrap electrical tape around the door catch. seems to have worked for me!

I used to have tape on them, when it went in for some other stuff they said oh you dont need to do that, we can adjust the noise out....lol yeah ok then! it will be taped up again when I can be bothered to find some in the garage​

ont have gto turn music up as they only just fitted the gearbox so will be getting sorted lol
