Faulty dash/clocks

The clocks on my Marea have gone faulty. One minute they are dead, then work for a a minute without the milage display lighting up, then the fuel and temp gauges go to the max and revs and speed fall.

Has anyone else had this fault? Gonna check earths tomorrow but would be nice to know if there is a history with faulty clocks in these cars.

I have the same on my HGT. Duff connection in the clocks somewhere but I cant ind it. however, it keeps the mileage down on the car as it doesnt increase when your speedo aint working. On the downside your mpg goes down the pan
