Faulty dash - again

Had a problem a few weeks ago when my dash/clocks died. It slowly came back to life over a period of a week and had no problems other than the digi display part not illuminating. The car has been parked for a week with a damaged sump, replaced it today, started the car again and the dash is once again dead. Havent had the battery off or touched any electrics. Any ideas? Anyone else experienced this fault?

Mark.

I have a similar problem with my bravo. Sometimes the dash dies, I pull a couple of the fuses on the bottom row of the main fuse box, I think its 3rd and 4th from left. When they are put back in the dash works again. Cant find any reason behind it. It's worth a go.

Used my car this evening and the dashboard if fine again. The only problem I have noticed it that since the dash failed the first time the airbag light have stayed on and I cant get it to switch off using the scantools, can't even get the SRS ecu to talk.

If the airbag light stayed ON, you lost connection to the dash. Take it to fiat for a reset and chek your dash connections - but do it with the key OUT of the ignition.

Got all the equipment in work to do it but it just wont comunicate with the airbag ecu. May just pull the bulb out and forget about it.
