Faults.

Right it seems my car goes maybee 5 mins without the Engine Managent Light coming on (EOBD).

I got an Engine Diagnostic done by Audiowise in East Kilbride last saturday and they found 5 faults.

1) Random Multiple Cyclinder Misfire
2) Ignition Coil A Bank A Primrary circuit 1 fault (Hope that makes sence)
3) Ignition Coil B Bank B Secondary Circuit fault (again hope that makes sence)
4) Landa Sencor (o2 Sencor) faulty
5) Manufacturer Fault.

All seems to happens once the car has warmed up. Change the first lambda sensor.

P.S don't go second hand, last time i needed one, fluffy sells them at the best price and don't buy those universal crap from ebay, they don't last long.

Right well sensor will have to wiat untill Friday (Payday), but yeah after buying handbrake cable from his Ebay shop will defo use fluffy again.
Was hoping to gte David's help but he's away this Saturday.
Don't suppose you'd know how easy the lever in the boot is to replace either do ya Ming??

Don;t buy from ebay, phone him direct 01332257402, as he doesn't list every single part for the car. Make good use of ur Cc membership!

Just 2 bolts last time i seen mate, easy job!

See one thing you could try, am pretty sure the 2 lambda uses the same plug. The second lambda is practically useless and highly unlikly both be ****ed!

Try swapping the plugs between the 2 lambdas where it plugs into the ECU.

Man they are so cheap ? Back then they were like 50 quid or something. But that was for a proper @Boshe one. And yup front and rear lambda looks like they are the same!

Agree with ming, get the lambda sorted first, any other faults should be easier to trace then.

Lambda is a hard word to type after 8 pints...

Thing is rounded and is bolted in ur mani, one before the cat and one after the cat. I think the one before is the causing the problem.

Which bit?? thing is ther's 2 or 3 different Sensors on that link for the Sei!

When they read the ECU, when a faults comes back it doesn't mean that sensor is ****ed as they are all related. All the ECU records is ab-normal operations. Change the lambda sensor (the one before the cat) ...

the light will just keep coming on until you sort the problem! (unless you take the bulb out) but it wont change the fact you still have a problem!

Indeed, can vouch for that place. Owner's really understanding too, will never give you a bad deal. Plus of course there's the GTV courtesy cars if you ever need them
