Punto (Mk2/2b) Fault-finder gizmo

I have a 2001 FIAT Punto 1.2, 8-valve hatchback sedan (i.e., four-door). My 2003 'idiot-book' says there's a plug-in for a digital fault-finder gadget beneath the driver's side fuse panel, but I can't find one. Am I looking for a socket that didn't exist in the 2001 model?
