FAO skate2create - Removing Front Fiat Badge

Hi Dan,

Can you tell me how did you take off fiat badge on the front.

I want to take mine off but I dont know how its fixed there.

Any help is appreciated.

Not skate2create but...

Theres a small bolt behind the grille. Open the bonnet and look behind the bonnet catch, dead centre of the grille. Get a socket on it and remove it.

so if I remove that bolt, I will have hole in the mesh ???

The mesh stops at the badge. You'll have a big silver gap with a hole.

I thought that the mesh is complete there. Think I saw Dans Bravo without the badge.

Then I guess I might pain it black like Oz.

It will be a pain in the ass to debadge it properly and one of two things will happen: -
1) You'll have a flappy grille as to mesh accross you'll nee to take out the centre mounting point for a flush fit;
2) You'll have flappy mesh as you cant mount the mesh flush without taking out the centre section.
Hence - a black badge.

Halfords plastic primer and then Satin Black chap.

i brought a sencond had grill for a tenner,
rounded the center bit,
cut the bit in the middle where the badge was,
put new mesh on,
cut part of the bonnet away
and sprayed the bit that sat where the badge was black
that prob dont make any sense!lol
i know what i mean,will get some pics up soon when im better
