Mine failed MOT this morning all the rear brake pipes were absolutely rotten. Thats my day out to MITCAR knackered. I cant understand how they could be so bad from one year to the next not even an advisery last year.

thats a bummer, is it the rubber sections that are rotten?

One of the pipes goes from one side to the other over the top of the tank at the back and the two pipes from front to back are rotten at the back end.
Not difficult on an ABS car, since there's no compensator to mess about with.
Nice of FIAT to have fitted joints just forward of the rear subframe too, which makes it 10 times easier [& cheaper to get the new (copper) ones made]
Mine got an advisory for brake pipes last year, even though it was only surface rust. When I looked at it you needed to drop the fuel tank so i cheated and got my mate with the garage biz to fit them on his lift. He doesa lot of work on classics so I got copper alloy ones as thats all he stocks. He said it was an easy job and would only take a drink for it.
