Hi everyone
I found your site while searching for a diagram which could help me with a small problem, (which could become a big problem)
I have a Fiat 2.8JTD 2002 motorhome. I have tried to get information from Fiat in Italy, but they just refer me to a local Fiat agent, who are not very helpful to say the least. ( because they didn't do the original job)
If I could identify the exact drawing of my engine, I could answer the question myself, which is -- Is it possible to replace the CAM belt, WITHOUT removing the auxiliary drive belt????
I will attach a photo of the auxiliary belt, (No air con), picture was taken looking up from the floor, the alternator pulley can be seen on the left, not too sure what the large lower pulley is, or the one above, suspect one is the camshaft, the other the water pump ??????
I have visited the download page, but to be honest, I'm totally confused as to which download could be for my engine.
The VIN number is ZFA2300000006215997. Dose this identify information relative to things like horse power etc,?
I do need to be confident regarding the belt question, as I need to confront the garage who claim that when they replaced the CAM belt, they never touched the Auxiliary drive belt. (which is related to a problem I had in Portugal, and cost me £200)
Hope my someone can understand my question, if not, I will try and rephrase.

Replacing the timing belt requires removing a lot of parts because the belt is the first one (seen from the engine) and protected by a cover.
It would be a true Houdini act to do that without removing the alternator belt.

You have too many zeros its: ZFA2300000006215997

Chassis Cab 2800 JTD 18Q
Engine: 3532178
Manuf. date: 29/11/2001

Removing the auxiliary belt is the easiest part of the job. Even if you could replace it with the auxiliary belt in place noone would as it would make the job ludicously difficult.

Obviously you did not replace the aux drive belt at the time of the timing belt change, a false economy, I am picking up an engine today for a guy whose alternator belt disintegrated and took out the timing belt on a Citroen Berlingo. I have never done a timing belt without removing other belt(s). Without being facetious about the situation, you don't appear to be very familiar with your engine, the pic is showing the crank pulley and I presume the power steering pump pulley above it, the camshaft pulley is hidden behind the cover, (To protect it). What happened to your engine that it cost £200? Cost of repairs can rise exponentially especially when a tourist appears!
