Can somebody please tell me what this black plastic part that's circled in red please, Seems to be quite a bit of oil leaking behind it somewhere. Car is a 2014 Jeep Cherokee KL 2.0lt Diesel.

It is the EGR cooler, I had to fit one on my 1.6 Doblo in same position. They are plastic and crack. Though it is water not oil, so your leak may be something else. I also had the oil cooler on the oil filter body at back of engine fail so oil got into the coolant. A pain to fit, not helped by cheap pattern part failure.

Thank you very much. Oil is coming from somewhere around the EGR cooler and dripping off bottom of engine.It is the EGR cooler, I had to fit one on my 1.6 Doblo in same position. If it is actually oil then maybe from higher up near head gasket area?
If from EGR cooler it may be from exhaust gas flowing through the EGR cooler that is being cooled bt the water side, but escaping.
Sounds like a bit of a steam clean in the area and then a mirror or camera to locate exactly.
All good fun, older vehicles were much easier to work on.
