Panda Hello people of FiatForum!

Hey everyone!


I’m 23 years old and live in Zwijndrecht, The Netherlands. On the 2nd of October, I bought myself a 2005 Fiat Panda (169). My first Fiat! I joined the forum to learn more about these cars, get some advice when/if faults pop up, and hopefully help others out as I get more familiar with the Panda.


I’m really enjoying the car so far, it’s simple, fun to drive, and surprisingly practical. Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing experiences!

We use the family Panda as a people carrier, easy to park and nippy, the opposite to my Duster!

They're fun cars, you can see why they are Italy's best selling car

Its only badge/brand snobs that stop it selling better elsewhere

I think the Fiat 500 has helped the image alot and as the Panda is basically a better packaged 500, you can say it's the intelligent choice!

They're tough little things, main body is galvanised so rust shouldn't be too much of a worry.
But keep a close eye on these areas. Plenty of good products for treating rust, but I just smear on some old engine oil or grease.

• rear axle spring pans
• rear sills
• engine sump pan
• coolant return pipe across front of engine
• mud trap behind front springs

And check the 'duckbill' scuttle drains below the wipers are clear - they block easily.
