Is the 900cc exhaust centre section the same as the 1.1 sporting on a 1996 cinq?

I have a 1.1 with a blowing exhaust and got a centre section cheap which I intend on attempting to fit tomorrow so would like to know if I have a chance before I spend my day flogging a dead horse!

seem to remember seeing a post that its a different diameter,you would need a reducer on the back box to fit,i think.
