Before i take my stilo to the garage to get it up on the ramps i thought id ask foe your opinions..

Basically my 1.6 stilo runs perfect and quiet when cold but after a long run the exhaust sounds like it is blowing at bit from the front? could this be a seal or joint expanding when hot?? anyone else had anything similar?

Sounds like it could be the flexi has a hole that only manifests itself when the exhast gets hot. The garage should be able to locate it easily when it's up not he ramp and warm (y)

No.

Cut off the old flexi and weld in a new one. Had my car in for 30 minutes for that job. The part itself cost 10 GBP.

Don't be fooled to buy the whole pipe, as it is either a combo with the mid muffler or cat. And that my friend is both an expensive part and a lengthy job.
