hi,popped round to a very knowledgeable guy on the fiat forum, he was so helpfull, tried everything that you could read on here, but all roads lead to a cluster repair, which i still have not done yet! i will get round to it, as it's now up for sale, 'cos i just bought a nice very new car!!!

You've not got a cheapo Bluetooth odb2 connector attached have you? I made the
Mistake of buying on, plugged it in and got "loose connection" message followed by dash dials dying, trip counter going to ---------- and the fuel light flashing on and off.
Unplugging the connector got rid of the fault.
Plugged a decent Odb2 USB connector in and all is fine, but I did have a lot of spurious errors to clear from ECU, might have been related, not sure.
