Hi folks.
I've got a 244x 2.8 JTD with an engine type (motore versione) shown as 8140.63S.228 and I'm anticipating that this information will be very useful when purchasing engine parts. Sometimes however I've noticed there are a number of variations depending perhaps on the exact build date, and not helped by the fact no Vin.No ---> is listed either.
Many types I've seen listed seem to be confined to the suffix 43S. and not the 63S listed on my engine cover.
Can anyone tell me what the 63S stands for or even perhaps the 228 at the end?
