I have only been driving a marea I got given, for 7 days. My neighbour told me that it had a problem that it keeps on cutting out (engine no longer runs, as if it is out of diesel) at high speeds. There is half a tank of fuel in it.
Today, it cut out 7 times in less than 2 miles!!

Any feedback is appreciated, I am not sure what's up with it.

thanks for the advice. will have a look at it tomorrow. another thing i have noticed is the fuel light is on, despite having half a tank. think there is any relation there ?

I've checked the fuel lines, they are perfect. Check the air flow aswell and that's sound. So I am now thinking it is the fuel pump not giving the engine enough juice, as you said the pressure. Going to take the thing apart, how do i check the pressure ? there is fuel coming upto the pump.

Fuel pump seems to be lacking pressure. They are usually high pressure, when i took all the onnections off it just bubbled, never hissed at me. I think the fuel pump is shagged. :bang:(n)

No idea what's wrong with it. I am sure the fuel pump has gone. took off the engine mount, and took off the cogs with the cam belt. marked the engine timing before doing it. No fuel seems to be getting to it. Now i can't get the thing to start

:worship: any offfers for a fiat marea sx 75, 1910cc diesel weekender?
