Engine Light

I just purchased my 2013 Fiat Pop a week ago, it has 49 miles on it. Yesterday the check engine light came on and words came across the panel "have engine checked" anyone else experience this? Any ideas on what it could be? Kinda frustrating since it's so new. Hope I didn't get a lemon, it was not preowned.

Take it straight back to the dealership. It could be anything, but the chances are it's minor. Still, shouldn't be happening on a brand new car.

Probably just stop/start issue, I take it the American models do have stop/start?
