Engine knocking

In the snow last week I hit a kerb quite hard and put a big dent in my steel rim, it has also pushed the tyre in a bit.....when stopped at trafic lights I have strtd to notice a tiny vibration and then last night doing about 40mph the car started lurching like i was pumping the brakes and everytime the car went forward ther was a loud knock, my dad says ive knocked the tracking out but i think it sounds worse,any ideas?

Did you check the engine mounts - does it knock when you give it juice or let off a bit ?

That's pretty much what happened to me 3 months back.

It's been bugging me for ages because I couldn't work out what was making the noise when you give it a bit of welly.

Better get it checked in the not too distant future, just in case
