Hi everybody, Just bought a punto 1.2L S reg and noticed it has a slight constant jump/jerk on the engine most noticable in 3rd gear. It's only slight but i'm concerned i'm not getting the MPG that i should been as the engine isn't performing correctly. The previous owner said they have changed the spark plugs but i con't put my finger on it anybody got any ideas what this may be please?

Could be the above. Old, free trick is to start the engine in the dark, open the bonnet and look for blue sparks. Any sparks indicate a HT leak (possibly caused by moisture) -- and here the leak is is a fair indication of the area the problem is in (leads, coil, plugs, etc.
No warning lights. Am going to do a service on it as the oil looks pretty bad so maybe something simple like the air filter clogged up hopefully.
Simple servicing can solve a lot of minor problems.
ps It won't be distributor problems, you haven't got one.
