:slayer:hi there. i have a fiat stilo jtd
i have just replaced my standard air filter to a k&n standard shape
i started the car up after putting everything back together and the light came up on the dashboard saying ENGINE FAULT

took the car for a test drive to see if eveything is ok and its fine.

can anyone help as i dont know what to do

i am taking it down to the garage tomorrow to get the fault taking off buy the dino computer with the machanic.

can i drive the car to work tomorrow, its only like 5 miles there and the same back

HELP PLEASE:bang:

no i didnt.
the car was off when i done all the work. but i did discconect the cable that goes in the air box, think its the MAF sensor not sure on that.

any ideas how i can sort it out, besides paying £30 to get it pulled off in the garage?????

dont panic mate, i did this 3 days ago. the light will go off after three starts/three drives! its just because there is more air and the engine thinks there is a fault...kind of confuses it

That will be it. Fault will clear after 3 good starts.

Changing the air-filter will make little difference to induction (unless it's soaked with oil and blocking airflow) so there's no reason for the car to generate an error.
