"FROM:ERIC & DORIS KONAN
Country: Ivory Coast,
Location: West Africa.

Dear Sir/Madam;

We know you will be a surprise to receive a letter like this from
unknown person.I am the first son of Mr. and Mrs. Williams Konan Our
late father Williams Konan , died and left us and our mother Mrs
Rosemary, and my younger sister Doris my name is Eric Konan.
I am 20years old why my younger sister is 18years old. My late father Williams Konan owns many companies before he died which he left for my
mother Mrs Rosemary Konan. Within a year of my fathers death,
my Mother Mrs.Rosemary, was killed by hired killers, after my mother
was killed my fathers lawyer called I and my younger Sister to hand over my late fathers documents to us.
after my fathers lawyer have handed over the documents to me, my uncle
started demanding for the Documents of my late fathers wealth. I now
called my fathers lawyer, he came and told my uncle that my father
made a will that all his properties belongs to his children.

After my fathers lawyer have made that statement my uncle started
fighting against us to an extend he went and arranged for hired
killers to kill I and my younger sister. The first time they came to
our home when I wasn't around,my younger sister Doris, was shot and two
of our security men was killed also before the police men came, they
had escaped, that made us to park out of the compound we thought it
will be over that way but it continue happening, that makes us to stop
going to school.

Because we are afraid let something not happen to us
in school premises,That is the reason why we contacted you as an
honest person so that you can help us in transferring my late fathers
money into your bank account. The sum of ($9.500,000,00).Nine
million, five hundred thousand Dollars),has been deposited into one of
the banks in
Abidjan Cote D Ivoire .

I will be greatful if you can tell me the
percentage that will be suit for you after transferring this money
in your accounts successfully and after this transfer you are going
to send to us a letter of invitation so that we can come over to your
country and continue our education. Please do your best to help us and
God will bless You.

Please, Consider this and get back to us as soon aspossible.

Thanks and GOD bless you.
Best regards,
ERIC & DORIS KONAN

Now, what would any normal person do with this? - a reply - telling them to fook off!! ?, delete it. Or play along with it, then kick them in the plums??

I would normally hit delete right away, but I wondered what others do.

Thanks!!

Delete the e-mail but send a copy to your local police. Don't mess around with these people, you'll just become a target for all of their scams. Its not worth the bother.

And what do you think the local Police will do?

Most of us get these emails daily, straight into junk/spam folder....

Probably nothing, but these things are attempts to get bank details out of you by deception so the criminal gang involved can raid your bank account. If people took it more seriously maybe the police and government would do something about spam and the criminal gangs behind some of it. We know its a scam and wouldn't fall for it but there are people who do fall for it and lose thousands.
I must get upto 30 spam e-mails per day, all get deleted without opening. Replying gets you targeted by the rest of the scumbags on the web.

No point forwarding to Police who will do nothing, and in fairness cannot do anything as a lot of the 419ers are connected in Nigeria. I used to forward to 419eater.com but with so much crud sculling around I just bounce them with mailwasher which automatically blacklists them.
