Aslong as you can find the right plug to go in coil looks like you are sorted, good job those wires are colour coded Notice there is one not going anywhere which must be the ECU feed.

I'm thinking that the coils look the same, and most probably have the same pin positions, just the 4x4 coils like you've linked Vern are easier to fit standard female spades to, where as the one I have is designed more for a specific plug.

From memory its exactly the same as the 4pin plug thats fitted as standard to all modern (post 2003) Canbus Fiats for the alarm siren in the windscreen scuttle. So if I cut a long enough piece from one in a scrappy I should be able to make up the loom myself.

So are all 4 connections on the 4x4 coil used then? Just trying to decypher Andrews pic (my partical colour blindness isn't helping ).

Looks like they are but I think there is a rev counter fitted, will look on mine tomorrow.

Yes one of the wires on mine is for the rev counter. Can't offhand remember which is which, think the brown one is the live and second red is the rev feed... probably...

The 4x4 coil has three wires to it but two of them go to the same spade so two are not used.
