Hi

I bought a Cd of eLearn (for Doblo) a few years ago and although it's a bit clunky it worked ok until the upgrade to Windows 10. Since then it works as before but some of the drawings don't load now (the ones which should zoom). PC is all updated along with Java and. NET framework. Still these drawings do not show.

Any help much appreciated

Well, it was the SVG viewer. I tried to install the version off the CD but was informed that I already had a newer version....so left it. Now have overridden this message and installed the version off the CD and all now works again.

Many thanks.

Whilst on the subject of eLearn, is there any way to stick the contents of the CD onto the PC hard drive so that it can be run without inserting the CD?

Cheers

Thanks, should have asked that question years ago!!

Cheers

Hi,

I have Windows 10 but I don't have the svgviewer installed.

For some reason, the browser sometimes doesn't know what .image files are. Instead of displaying them, it tries to download them, as it is a non-standard file extension and image format.

They are actually compressed svg files. Standard windows zip decompression won't work.

But they can be renamed to .7z

Using 7-zip on them to unzip them results in a bigger file which lacks a file extension. Adding manually .svg to the extracted file creates an svg file which can be opened and viewed with, for example, the Edge browser.

Maybe this helps someone viewing some electrical wiring diagrams.
