Styling Eibach Pro Kit Springs on: First Thoughts

Just picked the car up from the garage about 20 mins ago after being with out it for a week!!

The Eibachs are on and the EGR valve has been replaced.

First thoughts: Well it doesn't look very low at all, infact I can hardly tell the difference. But to drive, well the car is a totally different beast. There is less understeer and the composure seems dramatically improved.

I think I need 18's on the car now. The wheels just don't fill the arches.

The Pro-kit is only about 20mm drop, same as mine. Very difficult to notice any ride height difference (despite a few of my friends saying that it look lower, especially the rears) But as you said stiffer springs and that slight drop combined make the ride and handling so so much better, body roll is significantly reduced (almost 0)

Should have gone for sportlines, I thought they dropped the car the same amount but evidently I was wrong.

pro-kit performs better though Ride is ever so slightly compromised with the sportlines due to the increase in drop.

if the springs lower by 20mm, then there is no difference to the sporting springs as they are also 20mm drop than the standard GP!! not sure about the handling though!

Actually I dont think it lowers it on top, as on the site it says lowers by 25-30mm and it says its for 1.2/1.4/1.4 16v so its all the same spring regardless of standard or sporting, so you probs only got a 5-10mm drop at best.

Its is lower, no doubt about it, I was just expecting it to be even lower.

It is 25mm on top of whatever height it is. Give it a couple of weeks as the springs will need to settle and then they will drop a bit more.

I dont think its on top as the springs are the same springs whether you have a "super high 1.2" or a "semi high" sporting, as long as its a petrol its the same springs so how can it be dependant on the height of the springs the car already has on it. A 1.2 with pro kit will be the same hieght as a Tjet with the pro kit on it.

a 1.2 wouldn't be the same height as a T-jet because the 1.4 engine in the T-jet weighs more than the 1.2.

Yeah it would have dropped a bit becausse the springs say 25-30mm and stock is 20mm lower so you may have dropped 10mm. Because what I cant see is how the exact same springs going on 2 cars one of which has springs which are 20mm lower than the other, taking off both springs (without taking weight differences of the car into account like above said) they should be at the same height. and then adding pro kit on should make them sit at the same level.
