Hello all.

I received e-mail from SKN tuning company:

"Hello Mr. Blaz,

thank you for your enquiry.

We send you a photo from a Fiat 500 Ecu where we couldn´t do the Chiptuning.

If you have same ECU it isn’t possible to make an upgrade.

But if you haven´t the same ECU as in the photo we would ask if you could send us a photo from your ECU.

Yes.....that is that little problem I have with Nuova.


But if Nuova can tune 1.4L engine, I just don't believe such a big Tuning company as SKN couldn't.

They can post the ecu for you to fit - easy!

let's put it this way:
are ECUs from all three engines phisicly the same, and they have just different maps written on it?

I manage to get my hands on one 1.3 jtd.

It means that on the photo from the first post isn't FIAT 500 ECU AT ALL!

Is it from Panda 100HP maybe?

Going by the ECU number, the first pic you posted is a Magnetti Marelli ECU for the 1.2, the last pic, which is for a 500, is a different Marelli ECU for the 1.3 diesel (so to answer your question- no, all the ECU's are different due to the engine-specific jobs they need to do).

The 1.4 16v has a Bosch ME 7.9.10 ECU.
