Just fitted an ecotek to my cinq, was wondering if anyone else had done this and if they noticed any improvments?

It cant be a good thing..as it supplies turbulent (or more turbulent wrt the normal flow) air to one cylinder only, which can only lead to uneven burning IMO. That definately cant be good

Nah it isnt a power boost thing, its a clean burn valve cb-26p
The power boost is something different i beleive.
"It works by creating turbulence in the inlet manifold thus improving the combustion process; this means that it reduces emissions, improves fuel consumption and maximises engine performance."

Or so they claim, or i know is it makes a dodgy rasping noise lol

yep, read through the Punto thread - same applies. They were originally sold as a power boost valve, but this is explained in that thread.

Ecotec themselves told me you should NOT fit one in a SPI FIRE brake servo hose, but there's a whole load of other reasons why not to as well.
