Easy Question HGT Blaupunkt Multichanger

Hi guys, first time posting in the ICE section but reckoned it would be the best place. An easy one - does the standard Blaupunkt 5-disc multichanger that comes with the Punto HGT read mp3 tracks? I haven't got the manual to hand but would like to get some advice before I start burning any CDs Thanks!

Apparently not (after a quick search nothing MP3 related came up).
Have a look on the autochanger itself, most usually have an MP3/WMA logo on it somewhere if it can play them

Thanks for the reply, my work internet connection bans certain keywords, one of them being mp3 so I can't search on them!! :bang: I'll have another look tonight. Shame if it can't, I "acquired" all of the Now music CDs from 1 to 58 today...

Sorry to say the changer does not read MP3's, tried before buying another head unit.

i made a mp3 cd and it played it in my head unit but u can only fit 60 - 80 minutes of audio on cd!

i think the software u use converted it back to cdda/wav - as an mp3 cd will hold a lot more than that

Yeah, I ended up burning the CD as cd audio files and they played fine, but I just wanted loads of tracks on there as mp3s cos I'm too lazy to burn about 20 CDs!!!
