haha! nice one S&b it looks allot worse than it is! i pondered that idea about the lead but its well crimped in with the rest.. and because of my car having what apears to be an earth problem after an engine change and will not start at all. (no fuel no spark) id like to try and rule out every wire! lol

I had a peek on a Mk2 manual which someone posted a link to a while back.

There only seem to be 2 B/N (bianco/nero = white/black) cables in the whole car, and neither of these could explain anything.

However , the cluster of wires in the earth connector -- (should be something like, several blacks, the dreaded black/white and a black purple) seem to be one of the major secondary earths.

I'd suggest -- humour me -- that you earth that lot out good and proper, and try the original main relay again.

I'll give that a go I think I'm gonna drop every plug and check for dirt and alike. Thanks for all your input fingers. I'll keep you updated. And when I do find cause I will be sure to update the posts. So if anyone else ever has this they will know the problem. I've read loads of posts about similar problems and they never say what it was when they pin point it.

Lol. It is really just surface rust. And is on the agenda to do when I get it to run. :)

Thanks to everyone for the input on the posts of the peril of non runnin after engine swap. You will all be pleased to hear its running!

By a shear fluke I found a wire that was broken on the loom plug under the fuel relay. Was well green and was a black and red on the top corner! Bridges it with a couple of chock blocks and injector light was there! Turned key and she burst into life. Thanks again for all you input was invaluable.
Gordon.
