DVLA Hassle

DVLA Hassle

It's kind of irrelevant because I had already sent off the V82 and the cheque.

What makes it even more irrelevant is the fact that having posted it last Saturday, albeit for Sunday's post, the 5-6 weeks quoted was in fact about 4 days, because the new V5C arrived yesterday. Proves the DVLA can get their arse in to gear on occasions.

That's impressive! The DVLA normally let your application wander around the building for 5 weeks before anyone opens it... They must have a machine that scans for cheques within the envelope :)

Having now taxed the car this morning I find I can not pay for the period that my car was not taxed, so now I will have to write to the DVLA again to tell them that the car was untaxed for two months, although I will also point out that based on the £160 per year, those two months would have cost £25 and I have already had to pay £19 that I shouldn't have had to for the registration document as well as the numerous phone calls, letters, time and hassle that is probably worth more than £6 pounds.
