Technical Ducato turbo change?

Anyone know if the turbo is accessible on the pre-DPF 2.3 Multijet Ducato (2007)?
Is it doable with the engine in place from below?
And ... how bad are the ebay Chinesium turbo cartridges?
Apart from the metallurgy (ceramicurgy?) of the exhaust turbine - is there a lot to go wrong?
Good enough to carry as a spare on a European campervan trip?

Thats one hell of a spares list you must have, or is there a specific reason to think you need a spare.
As to a chineese one, no idea but wouldn't be high on my list.

I'm driving to Spain/ Portugal in a high mileage campervan. I consider a high mileage turbo a potential weak link. Having a cheap spare could save me many hundreds of pounds I don't have paying an expensive garage to fit a very expensive new turbo.
The chance that my breakdown cover will repatriate a vehicle of this value from southern Europe is very unlikely. Therefore I lose the van I spent a lot of time and money converting...
