You make a good point there and that's why I kept looking around. I found a good brand at our local mob, Ag Spares, and I was okay with the price given the cost of getting anything to Dirranbandi.

G'day Errol.
I'm in Redcliffe - used to live at St George out your way. I am wondering what filter you finally decided on and whether you are happy that it is good quality. I've been quoted over $70 here too - ripoff in my view. Then they want $17/Litre for their oil. Think they have lost my biz.

Hi Oigle. I ended up buying a Fleetguard FL3315. The other option is a Ryco141 which is also a 'good' quality filter. I have been using both brands with all my vehicles and have never had an issue. A few years back, I was at a motor conference where a couple of filters were cut apart to demonstrate the workings and these two were very good.
As for Fiat, they have lost my business with their silly prices and lack of product knowledge.
Errol at Dirran.

I forgot to mention that I paid $22.00 for the filter from Ag Spares in Dirran which means I paid top dollar, but it's better than $78.00 plus freight, from Fiat in Toowoomba.

A lot more acceptable price for sure. Thanks

Ian
