General Ducato II 2.0 JTD Crank sensor location

Hi all, I have an error code relating to my crank sensor/rpm being open circuit, bought one today and spent an hour tr
trying to find it, nothing I can find on line showing it position, any help much appreciated

99% of engines the crank sensor reads the flywheel so its at the edge of the bellhousing on the gearbox. You can see it sticking up here:

Its just as likely to be wiring, always check before ordering parts.

Thanks will have another look, I didn't notice anything on the gearbox.

The part was only £14, just need to know where it is located, for the wiring as well.
