Hi, still can't find the reverse light switch but can someone help me with the reverse switch part no. . Even better if it could be pointed out for me on eBay.

One of the suggested methods of filling the gearbox with oil is by removing the reverse switch & pouring the oil through the hole. I can't help with the exact location as I found it easier to use the breather opening but it must be somewhere on the top of the casting and accessible via the bonnet opening.

I recollect that there was a picture or diagram previously posted on the forum showing these two openings so possibly a forum search for filling gearbox oil will bring this up.

On the 244 model (same as mine), I had to remove the air filter and then the air filter box, which sits over the gearbox, to see the reverse switch.

Perhaps someone knows of an easier way

Hi All
Try my previous post here as to the revering light switch location (with pictures) -

As someone has said I would refill through the speedo Transducer hole on the top of the differential casing taking car not to drop the small washer on the bolt into the transmission & you can see the original oil level before draining.
