Really depends on whether you're getting fade from your existing ones (I suspect you'll have to push on pretty hard to get that)
If not then as you say - aesthetics
Though you will get more noise from them
If you're getting brake fade, then there's only one explanation for this.
Your'e driving too fast.
I know how they work and helps brake fade an stuff
So if you never had brake fade, then why mention it.
Can only mean one thing, you want better brakes ?
Great, nothing wrong with that except........
Standard brakes are more than adequate for normal driving.
So if you want better brakes i assume that must mean, you either want to track it or your current brakes are inadequate for your driving style, which takes me back to my original comment.
Your'e driving too fast.
So long as it's the right place and the right time there's no harm in it.
Theres only one place to drive so hard that you need better brakes, and that's the track.
There never is any harm until someone gets killed.
That's a terrible story to hear and I feel for you and your mate but making negative comments when people asking for advise isn't helpful.
Having a bit of fun is all part of having a car otherwise a sporty car would never be sold.
Life is all about risks otherwise we'd never leave the house, granted I'd never wish anyone else to be put at risk for someone else to have fun.
At least he wants to upgrade the brakes, seems a fairly sensible option.
But we're getting wildly off topic here.
I visit this forum quite regularly, and i see regualrly people (90% male, and i'm guessing 75% of them under 25) asking of ways to make the car go faster.
A number of years ago, a few of us were showing off, "having a bit of fun ... right place, right time" we all knew the road like the back of our hands and had driven it many many times.
Then my mate made a simple mistake and put his car into a tree.
Killed his brother outright.
We've all had to live with that, and still do every time we drive past that tree.
I guess until you've witnessed or experienced it, then it will never touch home.
Honestly I don't get it. Why can't some people of this forum actually provide advice and help other people instead of being obstructive, unhelpful and to be frank a pain in the arse. "Keat63" if you don't have any helpful advice then don't comment. People like you drive me mad on this forum.
Yeah like the coilovers post you put, I was a bit straight forward saying there really bad but just advice, all it is and you obviously took it as that, it's just simple, you ask a question people answer it..
