Door check strap, is it really a common problem...

...The two bolts have pulled out of the door leaving it danging. I can't believe a well treated three year old car can have such weak metalwork. I've had twenty-five year old Triumphs (and we all know how rusty they get)without this sort of problem. The guy at the service desk said it was a common problem, anyone else suffered?

Door check strap

Yep, but my drv door strap broke in two and made an awful noise when u open/close the door I had to remove the other bolt holding the remaining bracket . I now have a door that loves the wind
