Hi
After a lot of consideration and reading through this forum etc I have now gone and bought a Fiat Bravo, have i done the right thing??? Yes I think so, had a test drive today and it drives brilliantly, not as fast as my Zetec 1800 escort but then again the Fiat is fast enough for normal everyday driving abd i found it easy to drive and comfortable
Thanks to everyone on this forum for advice and help etc
I'll be checking this site a lot more often, hopefully the Bravo will not give me to much trouble

Engine

Hi
Its the Bravo 1.4SX, 43,000 on the clock mint condition
and has been regularly serviced, its got the Fiat alloy wheels and a Grundig CD auto changer. Its i a ice blue type colour, drives as new no rattles or squeaks, and is really good looking car. I paid £2800 for it, is this a good price?? Parkers reckon £3500

Probably wasnt the best choice!

Not to put a dampner on things, even though it will, I have a 1.4SX and it was probably the worst mistake i made of a model of Bravo. Don't get me wrong, i like the car its self, its fantastic to drive, but unfortunately you will notice that for a 1.4, it is very underpowered. Also, the main down point is that it is the only model that drinks petrol like a fish. You have to be looking at around 250 miles max to a tank, if you can even get that. The 1.4SX is renouned for guzzling petrol. It will **** you for a while, but you do get used to it!

Happy driving (and spending on petrol!!!)

Yes i totally agree i have the same model and I am always filling the damm thing up (£40-£50 a week)
But I love the car and oh well **** happens

Take Care and enjoy

Steve

Oh Dear!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that, think i'll keep my escort and give the Bravo to my girlfriend, she can pay for the fuel.
Its a lovely car though nice to drive and appears to be well built
