hi, im interested in buying an R plate 60 sx for my first car:slayer: and was just wondering if it had power steering and also whats the general opinion on these cars,
well general opinion is there nippy, lots of space, reliable and cheap parts too- they are a very good first car it wont have power steering unless the owner chose it as an option but the puntos steering is light without anyway
Answer to your first questions: the 60 SX does have power steering..... im confused now ... i have a 60SX and i can confirm it does have PAS, 100%. This wasn't an option either. Can someone explain.
There great cars, nippy, reliable, safe, smart, stylish and snazy. They also sound great, wear well, comfy to drive (except abit of body roll), and pretty maintenance free (apart from the usual).

Ok, thought so. Must have been a extra added feature. I'm sure it wasnt an option as i have the original reciept for the car from the previous owner and doesnt show up. As you have said Dave it was probably an extra thrown in.

Matt, Matt, Matt. The first rule of Punto specs is check-out my little guide. As you know, yours is one of the last. As part of this, Fiat upped the specification (alloys, sunroof etc.) of which one of the PAS. It wasn't fitted to earlier models; uno_94 gave the correct info. So...
60SX had it as an option until mid 1999, when it became standard.
55SX didn't have it as an option.
75SX had it as an option
85 16v SX had it as standard
60SX 'Selecta' had it as standard
TDSX had it as standard
TD70 SX had it as standard
