I'm having this exact problem. I took my car to the garage and they told me I needed a new indicator stalk at a cost of £200.

I'm going to replace it this month, I've had to resort to holding the indicator down while turning (or not indicating at all!).

seriously 200 quid!! Is that through a fiat dealership or just your local garage?

My local garage but they'll have to order the part from Fiat, my garages labour to fit it would be £50 so £250 in total for something pretty minor but massively annoying.

I have to hold down my left indicator when turning as it won't click in to place, or sometimes it will click in but will click off at a slight turn of the steering wheel.

Mine is exactly the same you really have to push down and hold for it to start going.

But even when it does start it will turn off if the wheel moves or if slightly kncked arrggh its so annoying!:yuck: So do you think mine has the same problem as yours with the stalk??

I get this as well occasionally but I've always put it down to the rubber gaiter acting as a wedge and preventing the mechanism clicking into place. A quick poke around or indicating right then left usually sorts it. Make sure yours isn't the same before shelling out £200 for a new one!

Certainly sounds like we're experiencing the same problem. :bang:

Thanks Jay

Im guessing this is quite a common problem? I love my stilo to bits but after reading about faults etc on here im nervous about using things such as the computer etc in case anything goes wrong lol :D
