Hi, Guys a word of warning if you own a doblo cargo van.
I regular keep a keen eye on the underside condition of my 2003 Fiat Doblo 1.2 petrol cargo van and I had a good check over before I took it for its MOT Yesterday, all looked good so I was very surprised when during the brake test, where the tester stamps on the brake pedal as hard as possible , a brake pipe burst and ejected the brake fluid, on the underside the brake and petrol pipes from the bulkhead to the back of the van are completely covered with a plastic box to shield them from stone chips and salt spray and underneath this cover a brake pipe had very badly rusted and burst under pressure, I assumed , wrongly, that as all the pipes were covered up they would be corrosion free , but the MOT tester said this is not the case as water runs down the bulkhead straight into the plastic box covering the pipes and its just as common for pipes to rust which are boxed in as it is exposed pipes, the only difference is you cant see it until its to late.
