Have low fuel pressure coming up when computer checked. Can drive for miles with no problems, then she cuts out. I wait for few minutes then start her up again and off she goes. She’s been to 3 garages so far and cannot find the fault, last time she did it I heard bubbling sound from what I think is the fuel tank and she cleared herself. She is now running in what I can only describe as limp mode all the time, struggling to get up hills and pull away. Can someone come up with a suggestion?

Details, age, petrol, diesel, what error codes when computer checked, what garages said, misfire, smoke, etc.?

Diesel Doblo 2005. Error Code- low fuel pressure. Have checked injectors, new in tank pump, new fuel and oil filters, new air mass meter, new boost pipe, cured induction leak.

Error code number P*****?
I had a 05 Doblo 1.9 JTD with 220 k miles , black smoked when I bought it, tried MAF sensor etc. but fault on that one was the wiring at the MAF sensor plug.
Is yours sucking air in the fuel line? I had an 03 Doblo with the EPIC Lucas pump which was rubbish but the fault on that one was an air leak at the plastic pipe connector at the fuel tank.
Usually if turbo, intercooler or air leaks in that area on your model it will still run just black smoke and a bit down on power.
From what you say I would recheck the fuel side to the injector pump from tank.
No air leaks at new fuel filter or cheap filter?

I’ll have an error code tomorrow when she goes back to the garage. Just hoping that it gives us some workable solutions. Problems have been going on for months and I want to keep my Felicity Fiat.

Motor engineer scratching his head for ideas, she’s come up with 4 codes - p1194 fuel pressure, p1197 fuel pressure test, p1191 fuel pressure, U1602 B-CAN line. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would be tempted to log all those codes and details, then delete them from the vehicle, road test it and check what has come back. But first check all earthing point to the ECU, engine and OBD socket etc. and any other likely poor connections
Apart from the can bus error they all seem related to fuel pressure , whether a fault sensor, regulator or actual pump etc.
It does seem odd that some of the codes point to low pressure but some to high depending on which site you go on.
Another Doblo I have a 2010 1.6 Multijet original came to me with a mass of error codes, indicating MAF and Map sensors amongst other things including Can Bus codes.
Apart from the Can Bus which I believe is related to a poor connection plug at the drivers door hinge, the actual fault was an air leak at a EGR cooler fitting to the inlet manifold.
What Diagnostic equipment was used, do they specialise or general repairs, as sometimes you have to "bite the bullet" and pay the extra.:(

Thank you for your info. I will ask my mechanic about these. All codes have been cleared and I am driving her once again- hoping she gets me out and back. I have been doing this for 7 months now and spent a good deal, starting to think I’ve got to drive her until she gives up completely and then admit defeat, but I don’t want to- she’s been a really good car.

I am retired now after well over fifty years in the Motor Trade, however some electronic faults need specialised diagnostics, which even a good garage don't see often enough to fix quickly. So sometimes even though costly, can actually save you money. Down here the trade all use one small company, even though they complain about the cost. If you can find a good one like that and get a fixed quote for any work after initial diagnosis, then you can decide how to proceed.

Try looking at wiring to maff or egr could want cleaning , you could have an injector wants re seating but your garage should of done all this already.

Thank you. I have changed garage and they have blanked off the EGR she is now running much better. Technician not worked on her cutting out other than changing relays, will wait for her to cut out again and take her back.
