A week ago my 2007 Doblo 1.9jtd refused to start. It would turn over but not fire up. Called AA who noticed the immobiliser light was staying on and also glowplug light was off. He diagnosed the fault as the immobiliser but he could not rectify it. I am waiting for a mobile technician who specialises in this to contact me but he states he is very busy and does not know when he can come out. Anybody have a similar experience or any ideas? I'm thinking this might be expensive.

If you have a spare ignition key try that.
If still no joy and you suspect it to be immobilised a good auto electrician should be able to help. I am assuming your key has not been damaged in any way and that nothing was done to the car prior to it not starting that could be the cause?

Thanks for reply. Have tried both keys. No damage to the remote one. Everything was fine a couple of days before. I’m hoping the auto electrician can fix it. 🤞

Sorry what I meant was a good auto locksmith, one that can read the key codes on the cars ECU and program a new key chip to match, if he can do that then make sure he does any spare keys at the same time. (y)

Check the battery or try starting up the engine with a new/charged battery.
Immo does come on on flat battery.
