Do you name your car?

My friend bought a new car the other week and I asked her if she'd given it a name yet and I got a strange look back. I have always named my cars! Is it just me or does anybody else do this?

I didn't until about seven years ago when I stopped having company cars and started buying my own. The last three have had names. My wife's car remains unnamed.

All my cars have always had names.

The current punto is Pamela as she's curvy and mostly made of plastic
And our mini is called Maggie

Yep I've named all my cars...

Corsa #1 had A rude name because the number plate coincidently spelled out rude words

Corsa #2 was called soupy (again because the number plate nearly spelt it)

I know my brother names his cars as well.

And since when does naming (or not) a car govern one's personality? That's like saying people who are called John are boring, but David's are exciting..

I've called my cars lots of things down the years - most of them unrepeatable here!

My red 500 is called Rory, but that's the first car I've ever given a name to. Only car I ever had with enough character for a name.

I've resisted naming my TwinAir 500 so far. However, my sister refers to it as "the tractor" (due to the puttering of the engine) and the other day some young guys roaring past in a Holden Commodore shouted "Nice pasta!"

A guy at work keeps referring to my TA as 'the growler' due to the noise it makes.
