Do i stand a chance TV licence

As Stu has just stated, you should have a TV licence from the time you start using a TV receiver which certainly includes a Satelite/cable box and almost certainly computer type streaming.

The alternative would have been to buy/start using your TV a week or so later.
well yes if i had of known i would have

So you wanted to blag it 3 days or so, even though you should still have one legally?
nope i only just lifted tv into lounge tonight

We're only talking £12 or something aren't we....?
no due to the fact you can only claim in 3 month periods

This whole thread is now a waste of time (y)
to you maybe bye bye

TV licence is a waste of time, about time they privatised the bbc, everything we had that should have stayed state owned has gone, bbc should have gone first.

I dont know Dave is nice to have BBC but only 2 channels

No way! The BBC rocks - I hate advertisements!

Saying that though, I didn't realise a license was £12 a month...

According to the the BBC, the TV Licence fee breaks down like this:

£7.85 per month on TV

£2.01 on Radio

67p online (iPlayer etc)

£1.35 admin....

To be honest, I think it's great value....The BBC makes some of the best programmes in the world, and we get to watch / listen to it all ad free....

If you think it's expensive, just compare that to what Sky costs a month....And how many ads do they have....?

There is making a stand for a small but worthwhile point. I just don't think this is one of those situations.
In this kind of contract it's up to you to read the smallprint or discuss your options before hand. When signing up did you raise your concerns, find out what would happen and then decide to not use you TV to synchronise payment to your life.

Your being rediculous. Why not put your waisted and pointless efforts into gaining a higher grade for one of your projects.

daz if I send you a cheque for that amount will you shut up about it? :p.

:worship::ROFLMAO:

BBC is Ace value TBH, nothing even comes close for even handed quality & coverage of all aspects of life & interests.

Sky doesnt even rate ranking alongside the Beeb... so comparing like for like costs its a no contest.

BBC is Brilliant in many ways, we are lucky to have such programming, it should NEVER be privatised, the adverts would follow soon after... £12 / month... about a pint of beer a week Pub prices...

Come on... get real!
