Sticky side goes against the paint?Can anyone help or give info on how to fit the italian stripe

Agreed with the above, however if you really want to do it, i've always had the best experience with the following method:
Stand back and admire your work. Or, if its all to cock, peel it off, bin it and buy a new one, then go and ask someone else to do it.
Be warned, it is NOT an easy job, regardless of how patient you can be.
Pics when its done though.
- Clean the paintwork with panel wipe/alcohol wipe etc.
- Get a spray bottle full of warm water and a squirt of soap (washing up liquid etc)
- Spray the area the vynil is to be applied to, fairly liberally.
- Remove the backing sheet from the vynil, but leave the transfer paper on (normally you get a sheet of backing paper, the vynil then masking tape over the top)
- If its a big vynil, only remove some of the backing, not all of it.
- Spray the sticky side of the vynil, and place it down on the wet area.
- Start from the centre and use a credit card or sqeegie to push the water out to the edges.
- Once all the water's out, dry the area with a cloth, carefully.
- Spray the backing sheet with squirt
- Leave to saturate the backing for about 5mins, then remove, gently. Thewater should make it easier.
- Clean the area, and check for bubbles. If there are any, use your card, with a cloth over the edge so it dosen't scratch, and push them out.
Stand back and admire your work. Or, if its all to cock, peel it off, bin it and buy a new one, then go and ask someone else to do it.
Be warned, it is NOT an easy job, regardless of how patient you can be.

The biggest problem you will have is keeping a straight line down the car
The stripe will want to vear off following the contours of the bodywork.
I used masking tape down the centre of the car marking the centre point at intervals with a pen . Then measured from the centre point outwards. Keep checking the stripe from a distance and keep remeasuring it to make sure it is straight before final pressing out the excess water.
Use a hairdryer on the end pieces (be very carefull not to use excessive heat buildup or it will melt the vinyl to much and shrink/warp it. The hairdryer heat will ensure its stuck to the bodywork at the ends by drying it out

That looks the bullocks!! Really really impressed, just need some eyes on it now or some ford GT stripes in the same colour, like this:
