Yeah, a surveyor could arrange/undertake all of the tasks in the above three posts (my job :D). Depending on the size and cost of the full job, and whether or not you get a lump-sum or time charge fee I'd expect anything from £200-£500 for them to investigate and do a report. Then maybe double the top end figure if you wanted them to carry on the job and be Contract Administrator.

(y) Surveyors report, a good pro will do all that for you / me?

will cost you quite a sum to be honest... i know we'd charge quite a bit for a full survey of the garage and surrounding area.

i'd cast in situ aswell rather that using brickwork, ensure its steel re-inforced aswell.

Do you have a large double garage? it's not going to happen in a single garage really.

Pipedream really Tris... tiny single attached garage... :(

i would love to fit the bathroom suite that is sat in my garage into the bathroom, so i can clear the rest of the ****e out of the garage and get the car back in there *sigh*

if you were digging a pit though, i'd also consider running some power down there as well.

what!? it should be the law that every man has a garage  do you at least have a shed?

i have a coal shed & getting a shed for the back garden at xmas, but i have far more stuff than i can fit in so most of it stays in my mother's garage. bless her she has a double garage and she cant even park her car in it.

same for ours, we used to be able to fit everything in a single garage, now we have a double garage and its full

You boys need to de-clutter, or at least get a bigger garage. How much space do you need!!!
