Tuning distributor cap for 100hp

anyone know which one i need and if there are any high quality ones out there? i got a snooper 3zero recently and accelarating sets off the laser alert-have been advised that upgrading the distributor cap might solve-thanks for any advice )

There will be coils to fire the plugs rather than an old style cap. Just follow the plug leads and you will find them, small black boxes if its anything like the 1.2 engine.

you could try some new plug leads to fix the problem, maybe the ones on the car are breaking down.

I'd be really surprised if your HT Leads are not up to scratch. Leads last a very long time. I've run cars with 15 year old leads with no issues at all.

I would say that the issue is more likely to be with your laser detector.

When it comes to leads OEM is pretty much always the way to go.

definately OEM. the leads on our seicencto started causing trouble at about 20k miles, after trying a set of aftermarket we still had the problem. just by chance i put on a genuine set off an engine i had picked up and is was fixed until we sold it after another 25k
