Hi nice to be here.

Can anyone help I have a stilo 1.6 dyna**** and ive lost dipped beam. I have

1. changed bulbs
2. swapped relays around
3. noted that the stalk makes the relays click
4. checked for power at fuses = none
5. fuses are intact.

Any thoughts on where to look between the relays and the fuses in the engine bay.

Hope someone can help as im skint and really carnt afford an auto electrician

kind Regards
Rob

I know its not the same fault but a few years ago when i turned the lights on the engine would cut out, turned out to be an ecu fault which was replaced under warranty.

If your dipped headlight relay (T1 here) is clicking when you select headlight then the body computer is sending out the correct message and it's being recieved by the T1 relay. I don't know which relays you've swopped around

But if you have no power at fuses F12 and F13 then your problem will be in the red circle. Either a bad relay or poor contact. I'd take the relay out and maybe try another one or often, just moving it may be enough to make contact happen. Either way, I'd take it out, use some contact cleaner on the contacts, (contact cleaner -NOT WD40) let it dry and see if that does the job. See if you have power out of the relay on contact 87

ok thanks for the replys
Isnt it fuse f14/f15 for dipped lights ?

I did the other day also have no sceen wash. no screen wash pump noise was heard either so i hadnt just run out of water. then that started working again.

The relays i swapped where the ones in the drivers side fuse box inside the car. I swapped the orange ones with each other. so none were in the same place

cheers

ok ill check it out again surely both fuses wont have gone together.

thanks
Again

ok got up this morning and can confirm that 12&13 fuses are live and power is to the inlet side of the fuse.

ok it seems im as dim as the lights on my car.

I replaced the wrong bulbs and was testing the friggin high beam.

Its H7 bulbs i needed to change and guess what now ive come out of the dark wood i have dim dip. yes by changing h7 bulbs.

Feeling stupid and thick but happy

Rob
